1 September  -         It appears that Mr. Thompson has forwarded the letter to various agencies, yet their responses ignore the question of why the issue of fraudulent medical records, invalid health care facility names and codes was tolerated.

FRAUD IN MEDICARE IS ENCOURAGED !

Donja Quijote's Comment for the day:
The Senate has debated Patient's Rights.  IF you read the letter below to the honorable Mr. Tommy Thompson, our new head of DHHS, one can see there is more to patient's rights than  enacting legislation.  This letter, written by SPCP's founder, documents that the government agencies are not upholding the laws of the United States.

The Agencies, which are there to protect the patients, are abusing their position to circumvent legislative intention to protect the patient.  No one wants to hear about this including the legislators, who are now basking in the spotlight of political righteousness for us potential patients.

What good is legislation, if it will not be upheld?  The Florida responsible HCFA contractors: Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the peer review organization: Florida Medical  Quality Assurance, inc. (FMQAI)  both overlooked proof of fraudulent manipulation of medical records in the case of Zoe E. Stronstorff.  In fact it looks like they knowingly looked into a "special set of medical records,"  not the true case. They looked where they knew, they would find no violations. They ignored the facts, which showed fraud was involved.  They themselves appear to have created fraudulent documents to protect themselves. They used false names and codes.

Accountability for violations must be ensured.  What good is new legislation, when not even the old is being responsibly enforced?  It appears to be nothing  but political eyewash.  We want genuine enforced Patient's Rights, not just non enforced laws!
